Being sleep deprived is ssoo annoying! my mom woke me super duper early just to go to the market. though yes i enjoy cooking and am proud that i am able to cook a 3 course dinner myself (i noe im bragging =D , but cant a girl praise herself sometimes??) but i utterly dislike going to the market. mainly its wet and rowdy and the people there like to squeeze around. its makes me feel like only saints can withstand this. so i did what i did best when im unhappy... i started to complaining.
i noe its annoying but i just cant stand it! the only reason my mom says that we should go to the wet market instead of going to NTUC at the hub is cause the food at the wet market is fresher than NTUC! that though i agree but still...
oo and i heard from the auntie tending one of the vegetables stalls. that they say that the government is checking on the safety for consumption of sea food. i heard that they're testing for mercury?? so i think its better that u all try to avoid seafood for the time being before the investigationshave finalised...
went home and started preparing the food .. when i say prepare i mean like scaling the fish, cutting the pork and removing the fats of the chicken... it was disturbing seeing the raw chicken head but besides that i took it all in my stride.
i had grapes as a treat to myself for all the hard work done. did i mention?? i absoulutely L.O.V.E. eating grapes!! absoulutely! definitely! my mom has to hide the grapes from me so that i wont gooble down the whole banch of it.
after that i sat at the dining table and started shredding chin chow. it came in this huge black chunk so in order to "drink" it i had to shred it. it was actually kinda fun cause the chin chow was like jelly-like, very mushy and it was really easy to shred. i absoulutely enjoyed the entire process of shredding it.
Preparation of chin chow (this is for those interested in making it lols!) 1. all u have to do is buy the whole chunk of it, its can be easily bought in NTUC or found in any wet market at less than 5 bucks for a huge chink of it.
2.then u can prepare the sugar syru by putting a small amount of water and a large amount of sugar and add in pandang leaf and just heat the whole thing until it boils.
3.shred the chin chow
4.add the syrup in the shredded chin chow
and thats all! its done! how difficult can this be??? u can add evaporated milk to the chin chow. thats how i like to drink mine that is. happy making it =D u should also put refrigerate it cause its taste nicer when its cold. dun add ice or i'll turn very watery and i dun really like it.
then i just slacked the whole afternoon. had a nice afternoon nap which did wonders to my body and mind and then i went to pick up my fat dog!! FINALLY SHE'S HOME! she grew a lot fatter though which is a bad thing which means she's not the fat dog but the fatter dog now. i think she must be the fattest chihuahua on earth bahs!
i wasnt able to go out to eat with val and gang today SORRY!! hope u all understand my difficulty behind it.
SERIES SHOW OF THE WEEK : Galileo its some jap show which is totally interesting. the professor uses physics to explain the unexplainable and helps the police to solve caes which others are unable to solve. the professor is so hot and cute! so thats a plus sign to the show =D there's only like 10 episodes though... =(
